Labour Party NI - A Statement

Following the recent events surrounding the party in Northern Ireland, CLP Secretary Boyd Black has made the following statement:

"I am well aware of the disappointment and dismay that many members may feel given the wording of the answer during Ed Milliband's Q+A session this afternoon to a question posed by EC member Rebecca Hall.  However, a delegation of LPNI members was present at a meeting of the National Executive Committee's organisational committee this morning (3/10/12) discussing the issue of us fielding candidates in Northern Ireland.  This meeting was positive and I am confident that progress is being made on all levels for us to move forward."
